Paramedical Peels

Paramedical Peels in Cottesloe

Paramedical Skin Peels

Paramedical Skin Peels are designed to chemically remove the outermost surface of skin cells.

The skin naturally renews itself, regenerating every 28 days. Treating the skin with high-quality solutions ensures accelerated skin rejuvenation is achieved in a safe, efficient and controlled manner. Your skin therapist will select the appropriate skin peel for your skin type.

Peels are made up of a number of active ingredients including Lactic Acid, Glycolic, Salicylic, Mandelic Acid and a combination of skin brightening agents. The solutions are applied to the skin, left for the period of time required to take effect, and then removed.

mesopeel glycolic

$129 each

3 peels for $290

Glycolic is a great Resurfacer – it is for all Skin Types (I wouldn’t recommend it as a first peel) This Peel is a smaller molecular size and penetrates fast. This would be great on thick, sun damaged, weathered skin or skins that need a good resurface including those with Acne Scarring.

mesopeel lactic

$129 each

3 peels for $290

LACTIC – Safe, Gentle, Hydrating and Results driven, this peel is safe for the Face, Neck, Hands, Dec – this peel is well tolerated by the skin and will hydrate dry, dull, thin and lacklustre skins.

mesopeel salicylic

$129 each

3 peels for $290

  • Salicylic – Great for Sebum Control and breakouts on younger skins it’s a smaller molecular unit so penetrates fast. Indicated for oily skin with acne and/or seborrheic blemishes. It can also be applied to areas such as the arms, back, knees, elbows, etc

mesopeel mandelic

$129 each

3 peels for $290

Mandelic – Almond based this peel is amazing on skins that look greasy and thick – similar to salicylic it controls sebaceous activity and literally brings the Comedones up to the surface and dissolves them, however, because it is a large molecular unit it is tolerated on the skin very well and has less down time than the typical shedding that may occur from salicylic. Mandelic Acid is Water and Oil Soluble and is an AHA and BHA providing a multitude of benefits for the skin

mesopeel modified jessner

$149 each

3 peels for $380

Modified Jessner – this is dubbed the party peel as it really refreshens and brightens the skin – 8% citric acid works as an enzymeatic to remove dead skin on the surface whilst the Salicylic Regulates Oil and Controls Blemishes then the lactic hydrates – this one works well to really freshen up when needed.

FAQ’s

  • What skin conditions can chemical peels treat?

Our chemical peels can treat a number of skin conditions including:

    • Acne

    • Congested skin

    • Pigmentation

    • Enlarged pores

    • Dry/Dehydrated skins

    • Exfoliation of dead skins

    • Breakouts

    • Fine lines

    • Wrinkles

  • What are the side effects after a chemical peel?

Depending on the type of chemical peel being performed, the side effects will vary. The enzymatic peel for example only targets dead skin cells sitting on the very top layer of the epidermis, therefore, you will not experience any side effects what so ever – only soft, smooth skin! The other side effects that may occur with other chemical peels are mild to moderate redness, sunburnt sensation, flaking skin, swelling, a mild sting to the area as well as a light breakout. In some cases particularly when treating pigmentation, you may experience slight crusting, which in fact is the desired effect.

  • How many chemical peels will I need?

On average, between 4-8 treatments are normally required every 2-8 weeks (depending on the chemical peel). Based on your skin condition, your paramedical skin therapist can determine how many treatments you will require.

  • What to do after a chemical peel:

After having a chemical peel, you must ensure you avoid any excessive heat to the area such as hot showers, exercise, saunas, spas etc. Certain chemical peels may require that no water comes into contact with the treated area. The use of an SPF 30+ is essential and you must avoid using active cosmeceutical skincare for a few days post-treatment.
